Why "Angareshwar"
A temple those who know, know.
Among Ujjain's 84 Mahadev temples, Angareshwar Mahadev is one of the quiet ones — small, tucked away, and a personal favourite of locals.
The name means "god of embers" — Shiva in his fiery, protective form. The shivling here is svayambhu, self-manifested, and the temple has been a spot for deep sadhana for centuries.
You won't find it on most tourist maps. Locals come during Shravan, Mahashivratri and Nag Panchami; the rest of the year, it stays peaceful. We named ourselves after it because we like trips that feel like that — not the busiest stop, the right one.
